We encourage you to learn more about each charity, giving your child an opportunity to choose which cause he or she would most like to give to. Once the funds are collected by ECHOage for you from all your guests, you can give half to the charity of your choice.

The International Child Art Foundation is working hard to make sure that people listen to what kids have to say about how to bring peace to the world.
ICAF believes that children can really make the world a more peaceful place. The pictures kids make bring people together to solve many of the world's problems. Did you know that making a picture is a great way to communicate with other kids from other countries, all over the world? Sometimes it is hard for kids to say what they mean, but making a picture can make it easier! Sometimes children can do a lot more than adults realize and making pictures about how to make the world safer, cleaner and kinder is a great place to start. By choosing ICAF, you will help children from all over the world to find peace for our future.
ICAF is a 501 (c) (3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible.
Children need food in order to feel good, get good grades, enjoy sports, and have fun playing with friends. Kids who don't have enough food don't feel good and are too tired to play. They are sick a lot and can’t remember things very well. It’s hard for a kid to feel happy when they are always hungry. By choosing Nourish America, you will be providing good food to hungry kids. Hungry kids who receive good food from Nourish America become happier, do better in sports and school. Most of all they start to laugh more and to have fun in their lives.

Children's Oncology Camping Association International gives our member camps the resources they need to run the best possible summer camps for kids with cancer.
Laughter, fond memories and friendships - that’s what summer camp is all about!
Children’s Oncology Camping Association International represents organizations from around the world that share a common theme – we provide camps for special kids with cancer. Each year more than 11,000 children affected by childhood cancer enjoy a camp experience at one of the more than 80 member camps in the United States, Canada, and Europe. They get to enjoy all of the normal camp activities with one difference – all of the other kids at camp understand what it is like to have cancer.
By choosing COCA-I, you will be helping children who have cancer enjoy a summer at camp while getting the medicine and support they need so they can have the best summer of their lives.
Not all boys and girls get to celebrate their birthdays. Because of serious medical conditions, some children spend their birthdays in bed or in the hospital, surrounded only by family. Their parents, who are always worried and stressed, may even forget the birthdays of the brothers and sisters. There’s no time, or often, money, for days at the amusement park or a cake at a local restaurant. Starlight Children’s Foundation helps these children and families get through their tough times. We regularly celebrate “un-birthdays” for our sick kids, many of whom are in wheelchairs, and their brothers and sisters. We create picnics or trips to the ballpark so that families can have fun together in the company of other families going through the same thing. And, we reduce the pain and boredom of long hospital stays with video games, special laptop computers and playrooms. You can help these families by sharing your birthday party with them. Your donation might help us throw the next “unbirthday party” for hundreds of kids whose special days slipped by unnoticed. More important, it will tell them they haven’t been forgotten. You care. And, that’s the greatest gift of all.
Think of Autism as the biggest puzzle you have ever seen, with lots of missing pieces.
You may know someone one in your family, or someone at school, that has Autism. That is not a surprise because many children have Autism.
Autism affects how kids behave – sometimes kids with autism may do things that we think are ‘weird' or ‘strange'. They don't do this on purpose. Kids with Autism often have a hard time talking or communicating and that makes them very frustrated so they may act out, even yell or scream. Some kids with Autism cannot speak at all, but they are just like you and they want to speak to their moms, dads, brothers, sisters and friends. Kids with Autism sometimes get scared easily by noises or lights and this makes them feel frustrated, sad and alone.
By choosing Autism Speaks, you will be helping us to find the pieces of the puzzle that will help make the lives of children who have Autism much better. They will have an easier time at school and find it easier to communicate with their friends and families if we can help them.
Your parents teach you to be careful walking across the street, and to watch out for a hot stove. But there are things that are harmful to children that we can’t even see! These are chemicals, and they can be in food, toys, water and the air. Chemicals can cause sickness, and they are bad for your parents and your pets, too. This is a problem for people and animals all around the world, and don’t forget the health of the earth. Scientists believe that cancer, autism, asthma, ADD and other illnesses are caused by chemicals! The way to stay safe from these invisible villains is by making good choices. But it can be hard to find the right information and know what to do. So where should you look? Our website, healthychild.org! It has all kinds of information about what to do and not to do when it comes to children’s health.
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) helps millions of kids, just like you, discover the joy of reading. You know how exciting it is to open a book with characters like Harry Potter, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Winnie the Pooh, or Amelia Bedelia? You use your imagination and go with those characters to new and amazing places. That’s what makes a story fun to read! Right?
Okay, now, think of your favorite book. Got one in mind? Now, can you imagine not having any books at home at all?
In the United States lots of kids don’t have any books at home. RIF is working to change that by giving out over 16 million books every year to the kids who need them most.
When we think of children’s birthdays, we think of balloons, party hats, cake and ice cream. Yet, many children do not celebrate their birthday. Over 3 million children are victims of violence and neglect and almost 600,000 live in foster care. They don’t have parties or presents or for the most part….anyone who even cares that it’s their birthday.
Love Our Children USA is the national nonprofit leader aggressively working to stop violence against children before it ever starts. Since 1999, Love Our Children USA has paved the way in child violence prevention and has become the ‘go-to’ prevention organization for all forms of violence and neglect against children in the U.S.
Supporting Love Our Children USA will mean millions of children will receive the love and nurturing they should have had from the very moment of their birth. These children can celebrate because you care. What better gift to give a child?
Evergreen can help us put more plants in the ground and make our cities and towns across Canada, healthier and more beautiful.
At Evergreen, we like to get our hands dirty, and we like you to get yours dirty, too! Imagine having a beautiful garden on your school ground – a quiet place to sit and read and talk and learn, a place birds and butterflies and other wildlife could call home. We help schools create gardens like this, by teaching kids and grown-ups about trees and shrubs and vegetables, and by showing people how to plant and take care of them. We also help community groups restore and care for parks and natural areas in our cities. By choosing Evergreen, you will help protect our planet.

Second Harvest wants to make sure that everyone has enough nutritious food to eat every day.
Imagine that you come home from school and you are so hungry you could eat everything in the fridge. Now imagine that there is nothing in the fridge or cupboards for you to eat, not for a snack, and not even for dinner. Can you imagine how your life would change, without food? By choosing Second Harvest, you will help many kids get enough food to eat. By picking up donated fresh food, which would have been thrown out by stores and manufacturers, and delivering it to agencies that serve snacks and meals to hungry kids and grown-ups, Second Harvest strives to fulfill their wish that no one need ever go hungry in our community.

Imagine not having any books to read?
In Canada there are a lot of children that don’t have books in their house or at their school.
The Indigo Love of Reading Foundation was started to help teachers buy new books for the school library so children could read books they like.
Books on sports or fairies or adventure. Books like Scaredy Squirrel, The Paper Bag Princess or Harry Potter.
Every year we give $1,500,000 to Canadian schools that need our help and we get lots of thank you’s from the students!
By choosing Love of Reading you help put books into the hands of children, making a difference in their lives forever.
All living creatures are part of an ecosystem. We all depend on each other. This is why we get very worried when any living creature becomes endangered. Endangered means almost all of a species is gone. Soon there will be none left in the whole world.
When an animal is extinct it is gone forever. When a plant is extinct it is gone forever. There is nothing we can do to get them back. When we protect animals that are endangered we give them the chance to raise families. Then they can increase their numbers.
By choosing WWF-Canada you are helping to protect wild animals that are at risk. You are helping endangered animals such as polar bears, marine turtles, right whales and Atlantic cod. You are also helping protect the land, forests and the oceans where they live.
Happy Birthday to you from Starlight Children's Foundation Canada!
Not all kids get to celebrate their birthdays the way they want to. When there is a child who is not well, often there's no time or money for a special outing. Starlight Children's Foundation Canada helps these children and families get through their tough times. The Starlight Fun Center helps kids by providing them with fun-filled packages crammed with games and crafts to enjoy from their hospital beds. Memorable and exciting Great Escapes are also organized, giving families a chance to take pleasure in spending precious time together like going to movie screenings, boat cruises, hockey games, or a trip to the zoo. Starlight Children's Foundation Canada does whatever we can to let kids be kids by giving them a chance to forget about being sick for a while. At Starlight Children's Foundation Canada, we do lots of other cool things to help children and their families feel better and forget about their illnesses for a while.
By choosing Starlight Children's Foundation Canada, you can help these families by sharing your birthday party with them.
What do you like to do after school? Maybe you have your favorite snack, play games with your friends, go to a special lesson or spend time reading your favorite book. It’s the best part of the day because you get to have fun doing what you love and spending time with your family and friends.
But for some kids, after school is the worst part of their day. They come home to an empty house or can’t go home at all. Maybe their moms or dads have to work a lot or maybe they just don’t feel safe being home alone. They might not get to do fun things like play sports or take special lessons because their mom or dad can’t afford them. Some kids even end up hanging around on the streets and that can be dangerous.
But you can help make after school the best part of the day for everyone! By giving to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada, kids can come to our Clubs after school to have healthy snacks, get help with their homework, play sports, learn new things and have lots of friends to play with – so they always feel safe and special.
Make-A-Wish® grants magical wishes to kids who are just like you; however, they have a life-threatening illness, like cancer, that makes them really sick. Often times they can’t do the things that you do so easily. Sometimes they can’t go to school, go outside, or play with their friends because they are in wheelchairs or spend hours in the hospital getting medical treatments.
One very special thing that offers these children hope, strength and joy is a once-in-a-lifetime wish. This could be to go on a family trip or cruise, to have a room makeover, to meet a celebrity or to be someone for a day, like an astronaut or a princess.
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children ages 3-17. Since 1983 we have made over 4,000 wishes come true across Canada.
When you select Make-A-Wish for your birthday party, you will help us grant more wishes, put smiles on children’s faces and help courageous kids take a break from being sick. Your support creates lasting memories and moments for these sick children and their families.
Thank you for helping to share the power of a wish®!
