Like one meaningful gift, instead of 20, perhaps, less meaningful. Or like air, when it’s clean, is a gift. A tree saved from becoming wrapping paper is a gift. A family with enough to eat or the ability to teach compassion and empathy – these too, are gifts. Even the great feeling that comes with being recognized for giving, is a gift.
